HOW TO USE SEMAGLUTIDE INJECTION

Inject subcutaneously in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.

 

DO NOT USE SEMAGLUTIDE IF:

  • Pregnant
  • Family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma
  • Personal history of pancreatitis
  • Prior serious hypersensitivity to semaglutide

 

PRECAUTIONS

  • Females and Males of reproductive potential should discontinue semaglutide 2 months prior to planned pregnancy.
  • Follow escalation schedule and stay hydrated in order to reduce possibilities of side effects such as constipation, nausea or vomiting, excessively low blood sugar.
  • Consider reducing the dose of insulin in patients on insulin therapy as semaglutide also stimulates insulin secretion to control high blood sugar levels.

 

STORAGE

  • Semaglutide should be protected from light
  • Store in the refrigerator. However once punctured, vial is good at room temperature for 28 days.
  • Do not freeze
